LIFT OFF

To Splatt Bridge, what a wonderful name, in Gloucestershire to see a Marsh Sandpiper. Thank goodness for telescopes as it was very distant. Then after not seeing the Spotted Crake at Chew Valley lake, we reached the B&B near Weston-super-mare. Well, I booked it so it was my fault when it turned out to be a B without the second B. But it was above a very pleasant Italian restaurant so we made the most of that in the evening.

Before dinner we wandered down to the beach where there were sand yachts and para-carts tearing up and down. This man was on a skateboard and attached to a parasail and it was amazing. He lifted off so high I wouldn't have been surprised if he had just flown away!
