Mono Monday - Relaxing

And that is what both of us have been doing all day. Cool, overcast and rather bleak is the description - certainly nothing like the first day of spring should be.

A terrible triple shooting with two having died at the hands of a crazed gunman in the town of Ashburton, just an hours drive from here. The gunman went into Work & Income offices and let rip, 8 hours later and he is still at large. Terrible terrible, and my thoughts go out to all. Sickening....this just doesn't happen in these parts.

After such a busy (in a very good way) few days, a quiet day is what we both needed.. Here is Doug, feet on the coffee table reading his book. I intended doing likewise but have been on the computor a bit, still relaxing stuff though.

Focus club night - we are having a speaker travel down from Christchurch to present a programme. He has done a lot of travelling and takes photography groups to Oman biannually. We have opened it up to our spouses/partners/friends, so Doug is coming along also.
