Day 22: Earth, Wind, and Fire

We had an early morning pickup at our hotel for a Lagoon Tour around Moorea, sailing alongside dolphins, stingrays, amd sharks. We anchored by Motu Island and jumped into the water. Yes, with the stingrays and sharks right beside us! Surprisingly, the stingrays were silky to the touch and didn't mind being so close to us. But I kept my distance from the black reef-tipped sharks as they were already too close for comfort. Next, we sailed to a private island and had lunch with a coconut and ceviche demonstration.

At night, we enjoyed a Polynesian dinner, which included traditional dances and this awesome fire show. The night sky was overcast so no Milky Way tonight. I'm gonna miss the island breeze and twinkling stars. Tomorrow, we head back to Tahiti. Then it's off to New Zealand!
