Today's the day ......................... to catch the moon
It's always been a bit of a mystery to me where to look at night round here - to see the moon.
But, just by chance I happened to see it last night - just before it disappeared behind Kendal Fell - and I thought I would try to catch it tonight. And sure enough - there it was in almost the same place - and this time, I had my little tripod ready.
So here it is - two nights away from being in its first quarter which means that it will be at a 90 degree angle with respect to the earth and sun. So we are seeing half of it illuminated and half in shadow. If you want to know more, you can read about it here.
