Pirates Attack!

A splendid day out up at Pendennis Castle for "Pirates Attack". The story of Mad Dick of Falmouth taking on Sir John Killigrew acted out by various reenactors!

Mad Dick paid Antonio the Spaniard to help take the castle with their ship the Mercedes. Much cannon fire (including 2 original Elizabethan cannons). Unfortunately, Antonio revealed himself to be a double crossing carpet salesman who fleeced both Sir John and Mad Dick.

There were many highlights (it certainly wasn't Shakespearean script or acting) but my favourite was this (although maybe a little :-0 given the family audience):

Mad Dick "Where are my buccaneers?"
