Off Duty

I tried to take this photo really surreptitiously, but the man looked up and caught me in the act! He just half-smiled and looked directly at the camera :) I love how relaxed he looks, taking a break from being a statue, smoking a cigarette and playing with his phone. He contrasts so starkly with the people around him and seems completely at ease with that difference. I've taken a lot of photos of beautiful buildings, fountains and statues on this trip, but I chose this as my blip because I like the candid simplicity of this shot; it captures a moment, something that not everyone sees.

Another busy day in Copenhagen: we visited the Tivoli Gardens and climbed a tower to get a view over the whole city.
