Up where the air is clear

I'm pretty sure I've never flown a kite before. Today there was a display of big kites in Winterfield Park, and we took our kite along. Astoundingly (you've seen the photos of my upside-down washing) there wasn't enough wind to get it up to the atmosphere, but we had a heap of fun trying, and luckily our pals let us fly theirs for a bit. Home for stuffed peppers, salad and sausage pie (guess who) in front of a very bridgey programme, followed by strawberries and ice cream.
