The Green Dot & The Blue Bucket, Aylesford
Day 242 of 365. Had another long, enjoyable walk today which included the following features : a river, a lock, a big hill, abandoned hospital buildings (today's shot) and a stop (or two) for a cold pint of lager!
The abandoned buildings belong to Preston Hall which was, until quite recently, an NHS hospital. More and more buildings in this complex are being fenced off and as this is done their windows seem to be sprayed with an ominous green dot. I'm presuming it has something to do with signifying their destruction as they are soon to be demolished to make way for new housing. The main hospital building is already being turned into luxury flats and there have been plans mooted for more houses on the rest of the land now available.
