Purple Haze

Don't think that's an original title ;-)
I went out very early this morning, and although it was bright, there was a cool, stiff breeze, and not much around at my favourite early morning spot. I stopped off at another good spot on the way home, and when I saw a large bird on the horizon, I watched to see if it would come a bit closer. In the event, there were 3 buzzards hunting over a stubble field, and I watched for about an hour as they rode the breeze. I took quite a few shots, but wasn't really that pleased with any of them. Even though it was distant, I rather liked this one showing a little bit of the heather blooming on the far side of the valley, as it gives a sense of the space the birds were hunting in
