Great Blue Heron Closeup

I'm co-leading a field photography workshop with Arthur Morris this week, and it was a very long day. I captured 1,543 images today (yes, I know), and it is already late, so I didn't have time to really sort through my images to find the "favorite" for today. But it was great fun working to get close to this Great Blue Heron (though not terribly close, since I was using a 500mm lens). I'm looking forward to more great photography over the next few days...
