Knovkfarrel

Another lovely Sunday morning's walk up Knockfarrel.

The wee dark coloured bundle of fluff behind the dog in the foreground is called Rogie. He is a 6 month old puppy rescued from a puppy farm in Ireland. His owner, who has 4 other rescue dogs, has had him for just 3 weeks. This is the 3rd time we have walked with him and the change in him is so lovely to see. He was a poor frightened little dog who was unable to relate to humans as he had never had kind word given to him. He had spent the first 6 months of his life in a cage, never seen a blade of grass. He loved dogs as they were all he had known but went rigid when touched by a person.

Today he was voluntarily coming up to people, and I was able to stroke him. He responded to his name and ran back to his owner when called. He is obviously a very happy little dog now.

The little dog in the foreground is also a rescue dog, who unfortunately was older when adopted by Alison. He still has some issues with other dogs and also some permanent health problems due to neglect. But he enjoyed his walk, the other dogs have learnt to respect his need for space and we had no problems this morning.
