Last day with the girls, Mum and Mark up at Newcastle.

Blue, blue sky, balmy and bloody lovely!

Growers market in the morning and then time with Mum and Mark at the Crowne Plaza, watching the passing flotilla of boats, industrial to recreational, busy, busy.

Lunch to Bar Beach for the best fish and chips Newcastle offers and coming over the hill with the lovely view of Bar Beach stretched out before us, it was clear that something unusual was happening, with the crowds congregating in the car park. Thinking it may have been a fun run, we slowed down but saw that, instead, one of the ever-present hang-gliders had had a terrible accident and gone into the front of one of the houses.

Apparently he died instantly, the owners of the house were there, but thankfully at the rear.

It's horrible to come upon these things.
