And one picture from holiday 2: with my parents and 2 brothers to western Canada. Flying to and from Vancouver, we visited several national parks in the Rocky Mountains (Yoho, Banff, Jasper) had a little detour to the States to climb to the summit of Mount St. Helens, and then spent our last week on Vancouver Island with its rainforest and Pacific shoreline. Of course, no picture can do justice to the amazing things I've seen, but I just like this one, taken in Banff National Park. Canada is a beautiful country with stunning nature and landscapes: it might not have the highest mountains or the most pristine nature (as this shot shows, there's railroads and highways traversing the parks) but it is just so vast, so impressive; valleys and mountain ridges with glaciers going on forever, covered with neverending pine forests and dotted with crystal-clear lakes.
