Chrysalis stage

The caterpillars started entering chrysalis stage this morning. It was fascinating and C & I were glued to their little cup home watching. They shake & wobble as they cocoon themselves into a chrysalis and then shed the bits they don't want. All whilst hanging from the lid - now THAT'S multi-tasking!!

They'll stay like that for a couple of days & we'll then transfer them into their new butterfly garden house to be at Chrysalis stage for about a week :-)

Elsewhere today has been mostly about distractions from feeling sick - a park visit/bike ride & a cake baked.

Poor C started being horribly sick after bathtime - twice then practically fell into bed asleep, exhausted. I headed to bed at 8.30pm tired & unable to face food, only to hear poor C being sick again in bed. He's all sorted again now & am hoping for a quiet night for him, poor darling. Suspect a chemist visit may be in order tomorrow for salts :-(
