But that is not a giant stinger!
This is a female and that is her ovipositor. I guess she can put her eggs just about anywhere she wants to!
We went to our local nature center this morning to look for migrating Monarch butterflies, but came up empty. I guess the butterflies didn't realize they were on the center's program today.
But there was still plenty of "nature" to be seen!
