Today was a planned shopping day in Cambridge with my daughter and granddaughter, to get some new clothes as she has to wear ‘smart clothes’ in the sixth form; however, we went without Victoria. During Thursday evening she was invited to go to the South of France with her boyfriend and his family as a space had unexpectedly become available. With lightening speed, she only had about two hours before she needed to leave, her mum sorted out all the arrangements, including her travel insurance and a flight back as the family are staying longer; she has to come back for school. They had a whip round to find enough Euros for her while she packed a small suitcase. So next Saturday we will be shopping in Cambridge again.

Today we enjoyed a leisurely shop with a stop for coffee and cake during the morning as well as lunch before retuning home via Scotsdales Garden Centre to get some bird food.
