A cup of coffee, a sandwich and you

A great day out at the Big Festival.
Sadly the weather wasn’t so good - a bit windy, cold and very grey but at least it didn’t actually rain.
We didn’t get into the music much (most of the big names aren’t coming until Saturday and Sunday) but we were fully lost in the food.
We went to a fabulous session on spices by Abdul Yaseen from Joho Soho which is the street food (in a restaurant setting) off shoot of the Cinnamon Kitchen. We later ate the best ever slow roast lamb on a fresh a naan from the Joho Soho stall.
We watched a few cooking demonstrations and bought lots of stuff (cheese, salami, coffee, tea) before a great session with Nathan Outlaw showing us how to fillet fish. It was so good and I can’t wait to try out his new pub, The Mariners next time we are in Cornwall.
We really enjoyed our day out.
