I met up with Spokes for a late lunch at Cow&Co this afternoon. This funky little design emporium was recently voted one of Liverpool's top ten independent shops by The Guardian (along with Spokes' bookshop, natch!) and as well as stocking everything from magazines to bicycles via chutneys and lightbulbs they also have a lovely cafe selling delicious breads, flatbreads, bagels and waffles... What's not to love?

We were served by the gorgeous Shad (pronounced Shard) who proved a delightfully accommodating model!
