Road Works
It has been a bad day. Not for anyone's health or actual work in Inverness today; which went fine; though with a lot of interruptions. Various up coming projects have been subject to changes of staff and/or organisations handling the design and they have gone with their respective favoured survey companies. Thankfully the order book is still full for the coming weeks.
The interruptions; they were generally from curious members of the public who lived or worked nearby. The most alarming of those was from the estate manager of a building nearby which is actually a huge police headquarters building. Out tripod mounted equipment is often confused for camera kit and he explained photography around police establishments is forbidden and we would almost certainly be challenged. He was polite and just doing his job and said to refer to our meeting today if approached on Monday.
I did not feel blip inspired today though I did spot a lovely supermarket trolley embedded in a roadside ditch surrounded in fast food type litter as we measured the trees adjacent.
I have previously chastised myself for taking a lazy road verge shot. Here I didn't even open the door as it was absolutely pouring. This a roadworks delay on the improvements at Loch Tarf. They were laying the last loads of blacktop for the day when we eventually got through.
