Bertie Heaven!

The title has a double meaning....this field is just down the road from us literally a minute walk from our door, the top end of it and woods behind is called the Heavens. Bertie, seen just in the distance, really does think this is heaven...he loves it!

The area of woody copse at the top right of the photo is actually a scrubby bit of woodland within the field that is the site of an ancient village/hamlet called Weyhouse that is no longer in existence and if you look at the field in front you can see the indentation of the ancient track leading up to it. There are still stones in the field from the old cottages that once stood there.
