Water carvings

We went for a walk after work into the woods opposite to discover some new paths. We looked back across the valley to the village side and there was plenty of activity. Today was a big day for the village and the locals were in force out to watch the new ski lift being put in place. As the ski car park is next to our house, we have watched the guys building parts like a meccano set every day. Fascinating to watch it all happening: the preparation and the installation. It is quite remarkable that it is almost all in place at the end of the day. We counted the pylons!
As for the photo it was taken half way through our walk, looking down from a very old wooden slatted bridge over a small mountain stream.
