Went along to the Parliament building to see the Scottish Tapestry. It is an amazing piece of work. 160 panels tell the story of Scotland from the volcanoes to the present day; beautifully stitched by some very talented people.

Two years ago today my Mum passed away, a victim of Motor Neurone Disease. It was good to spend the day doing something she would have enjoyed.

It's heartening to hear how much money has been raised by the Ice Bucket Challenge to fund research into this devastating illness. At the last count £320000 had been donated to MND Scotland, amazing!
