The Ice Cream Cloud

We were very fortunate that the storms stayed in the south overnight and completely missed us. So many warnings were sent out that we really thought we were in for it!!

When I got up this morning it was very cloudy. As the sun came up the clouds were thinning out a little and I noticed the first rays catch this cloud, once again just outside the kitchen window. I thought it looked like a big icecream in the sky! (Its my inner child's wishful thinking:)

We've had flooding rain since late this afternoon and its only stopped just now at 11pm. More rain expected overnight but no strong winds, so I'll sleep well. Toto can relax too as there is no thunder expected!
