The Sleeper

Headed down to London for a meeting and decided on the sleeper rather than getting up in the middle of the night for the early flight.
The downside is that the train is not available to board until 11pm - after my bedtime! However, I managed to hold out and got a reasonable nights sleep on the train. The motion of the train sent me off on some strange dreams - at one point I was on a boat which needed to be taken in for repairs.
The cabins are compact but comfortable. There were 2 bunks but I had the cabin to myself (travelling second class, you may have to share!). And in the morning, the conductor brings a cup of tea. Better service than at home!
It's great to wake up and find you are in the middle of London! And then join the commuter crowds ...
