Wake up sleepy head!
Dear Diary,
Went out to plant three shrubs around the potting shed rather early and a bee was still asleep in the Rose of Sharon blossom. Took some prodding to wake him up and he was covered with pieces of pollen.
When I took the pot out of the temporary hole I put it in on Wednesday, a very sleepy toad hopped out! Seems I disturbed the slumber of my little neighbors this morning with my planting!
I was thrilled to find this new variety, Blue Chiffon. To find a truly blue blossom for late summer is a treat and I will under-plant with pink and white daffodils and black eyed Susan's I think. Gardening is like painting with plants and I must confess to being very expressionistic in my botanical compositions.
