At 6.08 these promising cloud formations made itself visible.

A few drops touched down, but unfortunately not enough to even dampen the washing that is soon to be ironed.

It is a beginning.

Yesterday's temperature on our veranda/stoep was 35+, and I heard that 60kms away in Oudtshoorn, just on the other side of the Outeniqua mountains, the temperature was 46.

I always wonder how people who have outside jobs, eg. surveyors, can function on a day like that. But I guess it can equally be asked about conditions where it snows - like many blippers are still reporting.
