Diary of an Edinburgher

Walkies?

Well, I'm not exactly skipping around yet... I know all is not well because there is an open box of Maltesers on the mantelpiece, and it's been there for a couple of days, unfinished. This is most unusual, not to say, worrying. It's on the mantelpiece so that young Archie doesn't snaffle them from the coffee table.

AND I have not even looked at the coffee machine!

Talking of Archie snaffling things - this morning we were both in the larder cupboard, which has some boxes of biscuits and crackers on a low shelf, and he grabbed a packet of my favourite chocolate ones and ran off, with me in hot pursuit. Well, with me staggering after him shouting, 'No, Archie!'

He made for his doggie door, but unfortunately for him, he had the biscuits at the wrong angle for an exit and I caught him. He's been so good, just mooching around, or sleeping on my foot, and periodically getting up to stare at me, wondering when we might be going for walkies...

I wrote this first bit in the morning when I was feeling not too bad, but I had a bit of a relapse in the afternoon - so I'm fit for nothing but bed. Hopefully better tomorrow.
