Steam Loco Cab Detail

We went to York to meet up with my sister and her family who are staying there this week.

We wandered around town for a bit and had a bite to eat for lunch - then we headed off to the National Rail Museum. They had been earlier in the week but didn't get to see half of the displays - so we went in just to see that part.

Using just available light I had on my little 50mm lens which opens up to f1.8, and the ISO whacked up to 1600 or 3200.

This particular shot is at 3200, and although DOF is a bit limited it didn't need much noise reduction in Lightroom to produce this.

We stopped in the city centre for a pizza tea, then headed home.
