St Crispins Hospital

St Crispins was a large psychiatric hospital on the outskirts of Duston village in Northampton, England.
It was established in 1876 as the Berrywood Asylum and closed in 1995. Sadly it now lies derelict even though an Irish building company by the name of WN Developments took over the site in 2009 and announced major plans to bring it back to life.However, five years later hardly any development of the former hospital has yet taken place.

Two weeks ago more than 70 firefighters tackled a huge blaze on the site and subsequently people have been arrested as it is thought the fire was deliberate.

The Clock Tower is a well known Northampton landmark and deserves to be preserved!!
