Clever baby

Tummy time has now changed. As a tiny baby, she didn't like it. Who would when your face is getting squashed by the ground. Later, when lifting the head got easier, she tolerated tummy time. Sometimes she even liked it. Now it is mostly fun being on the belly. But the new trick is just lying down and having a rest. And maybe sucking on some fingers. She is not just cute, you know, clever too.

And her mama feels very smug and clever today, too. At last a successful culinary experiment from "I Quit Sugar" book. Almost-Paleo Courgette (ok, it was called Zucchini in the book) Chocolate Brownies are delicious. There is some sugar in them, as the recipe uses 100g chocolate. It was supposed to be 85% cocoa content dark chocolate, but I used special edition Cherry Ripe chocolate. Cherry Ripe is an Aussie chocolate bar. Imagine a flat, dark chocolate, cherry flavored Bounty. Perfect combination.
To confirm the success if the experiment, Hanna woofed down two pieces shortly after returning home from school and tried to convince Mr H that you can't taste zucchini (yes, she's a little Aussie) at all. I don't know why she's trying to get him to eat it. If he doesn't, there'll be more for us.

PS
I have to share the recipe, too good not to.

1 large or 1.5 smaller zucchini - grated
1 cup almond or any nut butter
1 egg
0.5 tsp vanilla extract
0.25 cup rice malt syrup
1 tsp ground cinnamon
0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp bicarbonate soda
100 g dark (85% cocoa) chocolate, chopped.

Preheat the oven to 180C, line a slice tin with baking paper. Mix well all ingredients, pour into the tin and bake for 35 minutes. Cut into 16 portions and try not to eat 4 in one go.
