Lunch at Port de Salines

We went to the Ile d'Oleron to one of our favourite restaurants for a pre-birthday lunch for Tim (seen here wearing his wife's sunhat!) and a farewell lunch for Mr F. It's on a nature reserve where they harvest salt, and you can cycle and walk, hire rowing boats, and look at the little shops and market nearby. Sadly the restaurant is only open in the summer, and we haven't been for a few years but it was just as good as ever.
I had a crab and cucumber starter followed by mackerel fillets and quinoa. I wasn't sure about the quinoa, but it wasn't too bad, and then a few spoonfuls of Mr F's tarte au citron, which unusually came in a glass!
The top photo shows the restaurant, and we sat out at the end of the deck under the orange sails.
