How nice

I've had a letter from Alex Salmond......

Between his battles with Alistair Darling he has found the time to send me a letter.


And.....

A certificate, and a record of the skills and attributes I demonstrated.

My comments above are of course tongue in cheek.

It is lovely to receive these things.

But I've been around the block a few times so in terms of life progression it's not going to make a massive personal difference.

BUT....

Glasgow was the first Games to have 16 year olds volunteering.

I worked with brilliant 18 and 19 year olds.

What a wonderful certificate and record of achievement for young people to be able to take to an employer.

10 outstanding qualities and the clear evidence is there for the employer to see.

Whenever I look at these documents I shall continue to remember the young people I worked with and smile with pride.
