Ready To Roll

Packed and ready to be sent else where, unit from the old Cape Fear Steam Plant in the Moncure Industrial Park. Last week as part of the deconstruction of the coal fired plant, both tall smoke stacks were imploded with explosives and brought to the ground.

The tall pole to the far left of the PRLX unit is one of the government mandated alarms which are circled around the nearby Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant which is right at five miles from this spot...these are the "newer" alarms and are activated at low volumes for periodic tests...the tests that are full volume, much less frequent, are something else entirely !
