Aurora and Milky Way Panorama, Lake Ellesmere

The conditions at last were perfect for aurora spotting out on the Peninsula tonight. The last time the alerts have gone off we've been cloud-bound but tonight, with clear skies and an already set moon, it was all systems go.

This is a 7 shot near 180 degree panorama from my old favourite location, the Stony Point bridge over the Little River Rail Trail.

With light shows like these, don't you just love good old Mother Nature?

Large viewers will notice the stars reflecting in the creek and the waterfowl silhouetted by the auroral glow. Go on, go large!
