Friends and family

Jen and Jason (our eldest daughter and her husband) arrived from Houston about 8am. Roger went up to meet them, while I stayed behind doing last minute things. We had a breakfast of fresh bread and croissants etc from the bakers, then it was back in the car, and heading south to Provence for four days, staying with the family of Jen's friend Magali. Jen and Magali met at school, when they were about 11, when we were living here last. They soon became good friends, and although we moved back to the States a few years later, their friendship has continued over the years. Jen visited them in Provence a couple of times, Magali vacationed with us one year in England, another year in the U.S., and for a number of years Magali was living and working in New York, so during those years they were able to see each other twice a year - once in New York and once in Houston. We arrived at their beautiful home in the hill-top village of Lauris about 6.30, and this is taken on their terrace after dinner - Magali is in the center.
