Disrespect

This is what remains of a No Thanks banner put up by a local farmer at the weekend, and vandalised presumably by some nationalist thugs with no respect for the democratic process or the views held by other people. Unfortunately this is the picture across Aberdeenshire where the No Thanks banners are destroyed as soon as they are erected. I am becoming more and more concerned about the divide in my beloved country which is developing echoes of the sectarianism that's blighted Scotland for years. Protestant/Catholic, Rangers/Celtic and now Yes or No. Am I right to be so fearful for the future regardless of what way the vote goes next month? I hope not. However the aggression shown by both men, and indeed some of the audience, in last night's debate does nothing to allay these fears.
