Pleasing Terror!

We have a lovely old church yard that lies just below our house that is generally a busy and friendly place to be. It hasn't been used as a burial ground for around 100 years but there is something very gothic about many of the tombstones that I just can't move on from.

Maybe I've read just too many mid 19th century novels. Wikipedia describes Gothic novels as" feeding on a pleasing sort of terror" and I think that's what I get .... these railings really do it for me!
