Style Sunday .....

Week 4.

On Friday night we attended a "Birding in the Lehigh Valley" talk given at the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center. The speaker was Rick Wiltraut who has been birding in the Lehigh Valley for over 40 years.

One of the places he mentioned in his talk was Cherry Valley Wildlife Refuge. Today we decided to check it out. Sorry to say but we were not overly impressed. First we totally missed the turn off for it and drove several miles out of our way. Second the trial was a very, very steep uphill climb! Not easily accessible for someone on crutches like myself.

We did see some birds, including a hummingbird. And lots of bees and butterflies like this one. I'm not sure what style butterfly this other than beautiful.
