I bring them inside when they begin to turn as they seem to ripen better, but although they're tastier than those in the shops they're not Mediterranean :-)

I went to the Clark's shop today and they refunded my money with no bother at all after I refused a credit note. But I'd psyched myself up so much for confrontation that, when she asked me to fill in my details for the refund, I found my hands were shaking so much that it was too difficult. She had to do it for me and then they got a very cryptic signature!

From what the saleswoman said to me refunds are no problem at all if you've had the shoes for less than three months... which just tells me that they expect their shoes to last for not much longer than that. Funny how quite a while ago they used to last for years and years...
