Palaces and privileges
Guanabara Palace, seat of the Governor, who flits to and fro in his helicopter, or in a chaffeur-driven car, with outriders to clear the way, blissfully unaware of the trials of us humble Rio motorists.
Leisurely breakfast with our guests, then scurried to the orthopod with HH. We both needs spare parts – HH is due for a hip replacement and I’m postponing a knee replacement for as long as possible.
Bursting with efficiency, I prepared a nice fish dish for supper, forgetting that R, A and P were eating out. Ah well, tomorrow is another day (meantime, HH and I will grab a quick snack).
Loads of work came in, almost obliterating holiday memories, so we’ll both be tied to the computer from now on.
