Sitting Duck
We had some appointments in the city today so drove in this morning, early! We were going to go to Kaz's Mum's house to drop off Spence, but the traffic was quite bad so we didn't think we would get there and then back into the city for our first appointment. We decided to meet her in the city at Carlton Gardens below the Exhibition Buildings.
We had told Spence that he was going to Nana's house but first we would see some ducks near the water (there is a pond at the gardens with ducks!). He got so excited, repeating 'ducks, water' about a million times!
Just after we got there and Spence was running around chasing the ducks and other birds, a man came by and dropped a heap of feed for the birds. So many birds suddenly converged on the spot and Spence loved it! He wanted to run through the middle of them, but we stopped him as we thought he might be pecked to pieces!
There was an awesome sunset tonight and I took two photos in particular that I really liked, but I decided to use the duck as today's blip as it was more relevant to today's happenings, and I liked the way the duck is looking straight at the camera and the water looks really glassy or reflective (I can't seem to find the right word) although it has nice ripples.
