first day of back to normal, Mr W at work, Em and I doing our thing.
A bit of essential shopping followed by a visit to the ruins of Furness Abbey. We've driven past it many times in the past but never stopped to take a closer look. It boasts some fine red sandstone arches and the remains of a 160ft high arch. Incredible when you think there were no cranes, metal scaffolding or power tools, just man power and skill. Em enjoyed climbing the grassy mounds and following the path of the walls.
