Mono Monday- Recycling
It's certainly been a mono day in Yorkshire, about right for a bank holiday. After an early trip to the gym, I took C out on her scooter to the local supermarket to buy some new warm PJ's for camping this week. Unsuccessfully as obviously the only way to have long sleeves at night is to wear a onesie which I dislike at the best of times but definitely best avoided when camping in case of late night toilet trips and wet muddy floors. Although they are about the cleanest toilet floors on any campsite as no shoes are allowed in wet weather. Apparently someone is trying to sue the very lovely owner of the site because she got drunk and tripped over a tent peg...
This afternoon I did a spot of baking with the children, lemon drizzle with C and double chocolate peppermint brownie with J. Yum yum. A quick trip outside to get my blip for the day of our little beach house/café which is about as far from the sea as you can get in this country. Many of the games played in our garden as a child were based around the shed we had as a playhouse, mostly running it as a fish and chip shop. Without the fish and chips of course!
In wanting the recreate this fun for my children, rather then buy a playhouse for them, I though it would be much more fun to make one out of the old wardrobes and bed that had been in the cellar since we'd moved. It looks much better in colour as it's painted in lovely shades of blue.
