Question of Balance?

In an attempt not to plant shrubs too close together I filled in with annuals as advised by the experts. This border has a number of new paeonias and 3 new hydrangeas. The front tier is Brunnera macrophyla and The dusty pink Astrantia Maxima. The odd brown hemerocallis is thrown in. I filled in the gaps with yellow Nicotiana llangsdorfii, Cosmos 'Fizzy Pink' and 'Snow Puff'. As the annuals have taken over for now, the structure and order and colour scheming have gone out of the window. All I can do is enjoy them and look forward to reclaiming the balance of my design next spring.
