The ice-bucket challenge!
It was so lovely to sleep in my own large bed last night with my own bathroom and not use the tiny shower on the boat or the marina facilities...bliss!
So bank holiday Monday and it is chucking down with rain - typical! I managed to get loads of laundry done and get some food into the house to feed the ever starving boys. I feel well settled back into home again. Best of all was seeing Murdoch this morning, who is fit and fine and seems to have enjoyed his 'holiday' at the kennels. He gets to room with another dog, always a female, and so has company which he enjoys.
I suppose everyone has heard about the ice bucket challenge - you get nominated by a friend to take the challenge, which you have to do within 24 hours of being nominated, and donate some money to ALS. In turn, you get to nominate some friends to take the challenge. Both Adam and Thomas got nominated....but to throw a bucket of ice water over your head on a cool rainy day is not my idea of fun. Adam in turn nominated a couple of friends and his girlfriend...one brave man!!
Adam is at school for the rest of this week on pre-season 1st and 2nd team rugby training (school only starts on the 4 September). It is his birthday on Wednesday (and yours truly on Friday). Then on Saturday Luke leaves for Strasbourg where he is attending the Strasbourg Uni to do a term of French as part of his gap year. I am already feeling sad about him going.
