The Line Where the Crops Met
16.8C and bright with a few little clouds. Moderate breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. Usual route down the field to the shore and along the cycle path to the gate through the field.
Before we went through the gate to the level crossing I got this picture looking along the line where the crops met to the church and school. The lower left quarter of the field that had oil seed rape has been ploughed. The oats which take up the right half of the field have still to be harvested. There are still some bales in the upper left quarter of the field which had Barley.
We carried on along the beach to Westhaven. The tide was two hours from its highest. The sea was rougher than I have seen it for a while and all the boats were moored in the more sheltered part of the channel through the rocks.
Later I mowed the front lawn.
