Frank Gehry designed the latest renovation of the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto. I was cynical. Figured it was a rich guy wanting to hire the star architect for a footnote in posterity.
But I love the result. The back of the building is clad in startling blue titanium with a curvy staircase shining in the bright winter sun. It towers about the surrounding old buildings but the blue blends with the sky so it isn't overpowering.
I might do an occasion series, the building screams out for massive post-processing effects. I was restrained with this one.
