We walked the Tarn Hows to Coniston circuit this morning. There are excellent views on the downhill section, though today they didn't compare with the inversion over Coniston Water that we saw from the car earlier.

The walk took us through the grounds on Monk Coniston where the old walled kitchen garden has been turned into plots for locals to grow fruit and veg. There's also the remains of a massive old greenhouse. 4 inch diameter pipes run round the sides and in the middle there's a water pump. A spider had made a web on it.
