Sunshine In A Jar
I'm generally in agreement with Pete Doherty that:
there's fewer more distressing sights than that

but before rushing into a decision on this matter, I think we should also consider the unspeakable misery of an out of town shopping centre on a wet bank holiday. Consequently, Blippable opportunities have been few today, and after a nice weekend, I feel the need for more sunshine. Fortunately, I have some on hand - my damson gin for Christmas 2015 (patience is required for excellence).
To a 1 litre jar, add:
1lb damsons, pricked with a fork
6oz sugar
2-3 drops almond essence.
Fill jar with gin and seal.
Shake daily until all the sugar is dissolved then store in a cool, dark place until Christmas.
Strain off damsons and filter liquid though kitchen paper.
Sore in a cool, dark place for a year (it really is worth waiting!)
Sorry, MonoMonday is going to have to wait.
