Ripening Nicely . . .

A surprise visit to the Orkney Brewery this morning! We were looking at a hen house we'd been offered up in Birsay, but it was too large and too far gone to be a viable proposition so to console ourselves we headed for the brewery for a cake and a coffee, and very excellent it was too.

It was a sort of reccie, as we're going there again next weekend on a Garden Club outing! Now we know how good the Dragon's Head Ale chocolate cake is, that's what we'll be having!

Called in at the timber merchants on the way home and my lovely hubby bought the necessary wood to build a hen house for me - thus putting the boat down to third place in the current projects list . . . ! I can see he will require a lot of cakes and puddings to make up for this sorry state of affairs!
